Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or a related field and less than one year of relevant experience.
  • Basic foundational knowledge of strength and conditioning or physical performance training.
  • NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification, eligibility to sit for the examination, or a comparable credential upon hire.
  • NSCS Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist credential within one year.
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification upon hire.
Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement strength and conditioning programs for teams and individuals, including testing parameters to measure improvement throughout exercise prescription.
  • Coach individuals and teams through daily stretching, strength, speed, agility, power, and conditioning development programs.
  • Design and maintain virtual exercise plans with remote clients; update the exercise database and educational content; maintain organized online resources; respond to team and individual messages; and update social media platforms and training platform informational pages.
  • Test teams and individuals to measure progress throughout training plans and prepare after-program summaries with qualitative and quantitative analysis for individuals and heads of partnered organizations.
  • Plan, write, and maintain daily, weekly, and yearly training programs for high school, collegiate, private training groups, and clients.
  • Build connections with referring personnel, reach out to prospective clients about training and program enrollment, share additional programs with current clients, and attend informational sessions and events to demonstrate services.
  • Plan and organize training sessions and program operations, including obtaining nutrition for special groups and preparing program summaries.
  • Keep current with research findings and coaching methods in strength and conditioning, exercise science, nutrition, and mental health, and attend assigned continuing education courses.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
