Must have Prior Public Accounting experience and CPA
Job Responsibilities • Research and analyze technical accounting and reporting issues and communicate conclusions to management and external auditors. • Implement and maintain corporate accounting policies. • Evaluate derivative accounting considerations for commercial contracts and transactions and responsible for documenting hedge accounting and normal-purchase-normal-sale elections. • Maintain current knowledge of SEC and GAAP reporting requirements and lead in-house educational sessions. • Lead implementation of new accounting pronouncements. • Participate in deal teams for M&A and other strategic transactions and advise on related accounting and reporting issues. • Review Company’s SEC filings (10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, etc.). • Participate in the Company’s Disclosure Committee. • Coordinate debt compliance activities, ad-hoc projects, or other duties as deemed necessary.
Qualifications
• CPA required
• SEC/public company reporting experience or public accounting experience required
• Minimum six to eight years of total experience in accounting and reporting
• Strong technical competence in US GAAP and SEC reporting (experience with derivative, LIFO
inventory, and income tax accounting a plus)
• Manufacturing experience a plus
• Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of management
• Strong written and oral communication skills
