Requirements
  • Ability to operate and maintain the corrugated recycling station.
  • Ability to operate the overhead crane system.
  • Ability to perform inventory control procedures, paperwork, and computer work.
  • Ability to inspect parts, orders, and equipment for quality and safety using a checklist.
  • Ability to maintain personal and area safety responsibility.
  • Ability to perform general housekeeping duties.
  • Ability to work at heights of 20 to 40 feet above ground using fall-arrest gear.
  • Must pass an eye exam.
  • Must pass the Powered Industrial Truck certification test.
  • Must pass the overhead crane operations certification test.
  • Basic math skills.
Responsibilities
  • Lift and transfer material and product from supply pallets to line or cell pallets or staging areas.
  • Count and verify material and product on pallets and log or scan information into the computer.
  • Separate pallets with mixed parts onto individual pallets for storage or shipment.
  • Load and unload tractor trailers of pallets using sit-down or standing powered industrial trucks.
  • Attach identification and labels to products and materials.
  • Lift and carry products and materials to fabrication, assembly cells, docks, and other areas.
  • Operate the scale.
  • Perform similar or assigned duties as required within the department.
