Requirements
  • Experience working with children ages 18 months to 6 years old, with applicable experience outside these age ranges also considered.
  • Availability on weekday evenings between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and/or weekends between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Saturday or Sunday.
  • Ability to work through the Summer and Winter seasons.
  • Ability to coach soccer skills and games with young children for more than two hours; the role requires physical fitness.
  • Ability to effectively interact with children and deliver feedback to parents.
  • Reliability and professionalism.
  • Passion for working with and engaging young children.
  • Ability to be playful, fun, and imaginative with children.
Responsibilities
  • Coach soccer skills and games for toddlers and youth.
  • Create fun, engaging experiences for children and families.
  • Progress children from organized activities and basic soccer skills to kicks, goals, scrimmages, competitive play, game-like situations, and skill development.
  • Work with children, parents, and co-workers.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working with children ages 2 to 6 years.
  • Experience coaching both toddler and youth age groups.
  • Experience with young-child sports organizations such as SportBall, City Camps, or Pedalheads.
  • Experience in soccer environments such as Little Kickers, Timbits Soccer, or house leagues.
  • Coaching certification such as Active Start, FUNdamentals, or Learn to Train.
