Requirements
  • An advanced degree in a recognized mental health field is required.
  • A valid, active, unrestricted Texas license to practice in a mental health profession is required, such as LCSW, LPC, LMFT, psychologist, or physician licensure.
  • Extensive mental health care experience, specifically with adolescents and young adults and in providing trauma-informed care, is required.
  • Proven experience managing and leading clinical teams is required.
  • Strong understanding of and adherence to Texas mental health regulations and laws pertaining to adolescent mental health treatment are required.
  • Experience working with payor requirements for establishing and maintaining medical necessity throughout the client experience is required.
  • More than three years of experience overseeing clinical operations is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct clinical care, including mental health counseling and therapy to clients living with various mental health disorders.
  • Oversee the clinical direction of clinical supervisors and assessors who lead and supervise Qualified Mental Health Professionals.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual client needs using holistic and evidence-based approaches.
  • Assist with billing, health-plan authorization requirements, peer-to-peer reviews, third-party payors, and other revenue-cycle activities.
  • Collaborate with families, schools, and other health professionals to ensure comprehensive care and effective treatment.
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and provide ongoing support for optimal outcomes.
  • Oversee the clinical quality and compliance of mental health services with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Stay current on developments and trends in adolescent mental health and therapy and integrate new techniques and evidence-based practices into the clinical program.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.
  • Assist with developing policies and procedures related to patient care.
  • Provide supervision, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to the clinical team.
  • Engage in community outreach and education.
  • Participate in administrative tasks, including budget planning and forecasting, program development, and strategic planning.

Provides mental health and therapeutic services for children and young adults aged 3-21 in Texas. Care is trauma-informed, child-centered, and family-focused, including individual and family therapy, skills training, case management, 24/7 crisis intervention, medication support, and psychosocial rehabilitation, with a QMHP delivering 8-12 hours per week and creating individualized treatment plans that may include off-site visits. The group differentiates itself through a broad, community-based service model with strong family involvement and mentorship, including guidance for young Black men, and by being a preferred provider for Superior Health while accepting Medicaid. The goal is to help youths achieve better mental health, develop practical life skills, and build supportive networks to foster resilience.
