The International Mission Board, a nonprofit religious organization in Richmond, VA, is in search of a Guest Relations Coordinator!

The Guest Relations Coordinator serves as the primary hospitality and experience liaison for special guests, chapel speakers, visiting groups, and special tours. The coordinator provides essential support for department-wide strategic initiatives, special projects, and high-profile events, ensuring smooth execution and exceptional guest experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to and manage tour requests for the IMB various locations and coordination with various staff members.
- Plan and conduct customized groups (youth, camps, mission partners, donors, etc.), incorporating storytelling and mission engagement opportunities.
- Recruit, train and schedule tour guides; maintain updated tour routes, scripts, and hospitality resources.
- Partner with the Manager, Strategic Projects to coordinate timelines, track deliverables, and prepare materials for department-wide initiatives.
- Assist in the planning and execution of large-scale strategic events, guest engagement activities, and cross-team collaborations.
- Maintain organized project documentation, task lists, and presentation materials.
- Coordinate all logistics and communicate itineraries and event details to guests and internal stakeholders.
- Serve as a personal concierge for VIP guests, donors, and chapel speakers—ensuring travel, lodging, meals, and onsite needs are properly managed.
- Anticipate guest needs and deliver personalized service, fostering lasting positive impressions.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree, preferred
- Minimum one year of experience in areas such as events management, public relations, customer service, or related fields.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managers effectively
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple duties efficiently, managing competing deadlines successfully.
- Strong initiative, adaptability, and flexibility to handle various situations and challenges.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with other relevant software tools
- Experience working with a high-performing team and executive leaders is a plus
