Requirements
- Ability to work with people of varied technical backgrounds
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability and willingness to provide on-call production support (24x7) in rotation with others
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or equivalent
- Job Duties
- Installation, configuration, management, and monitoring of multiple versions of one or more of: MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB and Redis
- Maintain and rollout databases via automation such Terraform, Cloud Formation, Jenkins, etc
- Database upgrades, scripting, task automation, backups/recovery
- Database performance monitoring, tuning diagnostic tools
- Ensure best practices and standard operating procedures are adhered to
- Manage VLDBs 5TB+
- Support development teams with database requests as needed (including bug fixes, production data manipulation and feature testing)
- Support business users and BI team with data access, troubleshooting and ad-hoc queries
- Other duties as assigned
