WHAT YOU’LL DO

Braze is at an inflection point in our maturity, where a key focus of our work is on scalability, observability, and repeatability. Reporting to the Chief of Staff in the Office of the CTO (oCTO), you’ll focus on Technical Operations, Project Management, and Reporting. The oCTO is focused on ensuring that Braze is operating as a technology-first business, with process, policy, and support in place to manage growth and scale. You’ll be ensuring that projects across our varied technology teams (DevOps, IT, and Security) are successful, and that cross-departmental metrics and dashboards are standardized, followed, and improved over time. 

• Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, communication, and closing of projects, to better ensure the delivery and outcomes.
• Manage projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• ​​Collaborate with a wide range of teams and departments - Business Intelligence, People, Success, Marketing, Finance, etc. - to gather information on team needs and challenges and identify opportunities for process improvement or solutions.
• Actively identify and manage issues that could impact the project.
• Assist management in assessing and prioritizing projects.
• Navigate in an environment of ambiguity and lead teams to the successful delivery of projects.

• Results-oriented, highly motivated, and able to work under minimal supervision in a cross-functional environment while taking account of interdependencies at all levels.
• Strong background and consistent track record in leading technology projects and adapting or building new processes.
• Ability to quickly respond to changes in business scenarios, projects, and resources - adapting accordingly and positively.
• Able to understand technical details and translate them to non-technical audiences and vice-versa.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented; the type of person who can manage multiple, complex work streams and rarely miss a beat.
• Proactive project management; unafraid of holding peers/managers accountable
• Sufficient background and experience with tools for metrics, reporting, and project management (Jira, Confluence, Excel, Looker, or the equivalent).
