Professional Development Budget
Gentell, the largest vertically integrated wound care company, has acquired Innovative Supply Group (ISG), a leading Medicare Part B supplier of medical tube devices to North American nursing homes. Financial terms were not disclosed. ISG will operate as Gentell Nutritional Services, with Michael Lebovics, formerly ISG's president, leading the division. Gentell currently serves over 30% of the estimated 15,000 US nursing homes with wound care supplies. The acquisition is expected to expand its market share by approximately 12%. This marks Gentell's third acquisition in 12 months, following purchases of New Zealand-based Manukamed and Paraguay-Brazil manufacturer Casex. The company now operates manufacturing facilities across five continents and has increasingly focused on linking nutrition to wound care for improved healing outcomes.
Gentell, led by CEO David Navazio, has acquired New Zealand-based ManukaMed, a manufacturer of honey-based wound dressings. This acquisition allows Gentell to control the only honey-based wound care product reimbursable by Medicare and other U.S. insurance organizations. ManukaMed's patented medical-grade honey blend is proven effective for healing venous ulcers, pressure ulcers, and chronic wounds.
Gentell, the world's largest vertically integrated wound care company, has expanded its global presence by acquiring Casex, a leading Latin American manufacturer of ostomy and wound care products. Announced by Gentell's President and CEO, David Navazio, on June 5, 2025, the acquisition will see Casex rebranded under the Gentell name, enhancing Gentell's distribution capabilities in Latin America.
