Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two years of relevant experience are required, including relevant customer service, mechanical, and/or electrical experience.
  • A valid driver's license and good driving record are required.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision using time-management and prioritization skills is required.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite is required.
  • Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds regularly and more than 100 pounds occasionally is required.
  • Ability to use a scissor lift and ladder and perform standing, walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling is required.
  • Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, as well as the ability to adjust focus.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain available equipment inventory and interface with process stakeholders.
  • Coordinate equipment transfers with regional operations staff for internal and client-supplied equipment.
  • Assist in developing and supporting future calibration capabilities.
  • Communicate with vendors to facilitate external calibrations and repairs.
  • Support ISO 17025-accredited services, including uncertainty analysis.
  • Maintain ISO 17025 training through participation in Interlaboratory Comparisons and Proficiency Tests.
  • Perform in-house calibration and maintenance of lightmeters, sound level meters, temperature and humidity instrumentation, pressure gauges and manometers, aerosol generators, flowmeters, tachometers, anemometers, digital manometers and transmitters, flowhoods, electrical meters and safety analyzers, ultraviolet meters and sensors, Ellab equipment and thermocouples, and wind tunnels.
  • Perform potential repairs on the listed equipment.
  • Generate and revise calibration reports using eData.
  • Assist with maintaining the proprietary equipment database.
  • Assist the metrology administrator with maintaining and correcting calibration certificates.
  • Collect equipment requiring service.
  • Handle shipping and receiving to and from vendors, including requesting return merchandise authorizations and creating and closing purchase orders.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
Desired Qualifications
  • A 2-year or 4-year degree is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills are preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to continually learn new services, are preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are preferred.
