Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of customer service and retail store management experience is required.
  • The candidate must be enthusiastic about learning and growing in the pet care industry.
  • The candidate must possess an outgoing and friendly personality with strong customer service skills.
  • The candidate must be able to work as scheduled to meet attendance requirements, including weekends and evenings.
  • The candidate must have reliable transportation to and from the store.
  • The candidate must be able to observe and coach employees, provide feedback on sales techniques, and support excellent customer service.
  • The candidate must be able to understand inter-team conflicts and escalate them when necessary.
  • Working knowledge of a point-of-sale system is required.
  • The candidate must be able to lift 50 pounds repetitively.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure that customer service standards are met by staff and maintain courteous relationships within the community, including with humane societies.
  • Manage a team of employees, including recruiting, scheduling, training, assigning day-to-day tasks, supervising, and coaching.
  • Ensure that all staff adhere to corporate operational standards and procedures.
  • Coordinate order placements, maintain appropriate inventory, ensure completion of store and safety audits, coordinate minor store repairs, and complete corporate paperwork.
  • Coordinate store staff efforts to achieve targeted business results.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as required.
