Requirements
  • The candidate must be an engineer who is a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
  • The candidate must have at least five years of relevant experience delivering roadway projects through design and/or supervision.
  • The candidate must have experience coordinating a technical or multidisciplinary team.
  • The candidate must possess the training required for confined spaces, gas, and related activities needed to enter sewer manholes for inspections.
  • The candidate must be able to produce technical deliverables using AutoCAD in 2D and 3D, Power InRoads V8i SS2, and the latest version of OpenRoads Designer.
  • The candidate must be able to provide the required geodetic, surveying, utility, drainage, quantity, and as-built documentation.
Responsibilities
  • Produce survey plans using AutoCAD in 2D and 3D, including underground utilities.
  • Produce a digital terrain model compatible with Power InRoads V8i SS2 and the latest version of OpenRoads Designer.
  • Provide coordinates for geodetic points, stations, and survey points in ASCII format, including the reference system used.
  • Provide copies of survey field books in PDF format.
  • Prepare reports on public utility surveys, including electrical lines and other utilities.
  • Prepare detailed reports with photographs documenting the condition and geometry of catch basins, sumps, and manholes, including inverts, dimensions, and connected pipe types.
  • Plot the flow diagram for existing sewer services and surface drainage systems.
  • Measure quantities on site and calculate volumes, areas, and quantities.
  • Conduct surveys to produce the as-built plan.
  • Ensure all mandate activities comply with schedule, budget, and technical requirements.
  • Coordinate technical or multidisciplinary team activities.
