The Role
VML Commerce believe the space of commerce holds the most untapped creative potential to grow brands and people. WPP Open and Commerce Studio is our proprietary approach and platform that guides how we work. By understanding how, when, and why people buy, we deliver the most engaging and culturally relevant creative commerce experiences across Retail, Experience, Design, and Innovation. We do this as part of a network of specialists across +50 countries, everywhere life intersects.
As the Product Marketing and Growth Director of EMEA, you will be fully focused on unlocking the potential of the commerce practice and launching Commerce Studio; you will own the growth strategy and execution for new and organic growth opportunities, and you will help shape the marketing strategy for our agency’s offerings in EMEA. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, guide product positioning, and create compelling marketing campaigns to showcase our solutions to clients worldwide. This role requires a strategic mindset, a deep understanding of our industry, and the ability to drive results through effective product marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy for the Commerce Studio.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, product development, and client services to ensure alignment and successful implementation.
- Define target markets, customer segments, and competitive positioning.
Product Launch:
- Lead the end-to-end launch process, including planning, coordination, and execution of all launch activities.
- Develop and manage the launch timeline, ensuring timely delivery and market readiness.
- Coordinate with product and development teams to ensure the Commerce Studio meets client needs and market demands.
Marketing and Communication:
- Create compelling value propositions and messaging that resonate with target audiences.
- Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns to drive awareness, adoption, and engagement.
- Collaborate with the creative team to produce marketing collateral, sales tools, and promotional materials.
Sales Enablement:
- Equip the sales team with the necessary tools, training, and resources to effectively sell the Commerce Studio.
- Develop and deliver sales presentations, product demos, and training sessions.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track sales performance and market penetration.
Client Engagement:
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients during the launch phase.
- Gather and analyze client feedback to inform product improvements and enhancements.
- Work closely with client services to ensure a seamless client experience and successful onboarding.
Market Insights and Analysis:
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
- Monitor industry developments and adjust the go-to-market strategy accordingly.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership on launch progress, market reception, and performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in go-to-market strategy, product marketing, or a related role within a marketing, commerce, or creative agency.
- Proven track record of successfully launching products or solutions in a B2B environment.
- Strong understanding of digital commerce and marketing trends.
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in market research, competitive analysis, and data-driven decision making.
- Experience with marketing automation tools and CRM systems.
