- Specific training in polysomnographic technology, electroencephalography technology, or respiratory technology from an accredited institution is preferred.
- Ability to read, write, speak, communicate, and understand English sufficiently to perform the duties of the job is required.
- Basic Life Support or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification is required.
- One of the following American Academy of Sleep Medicine-endorsed registrations is required: American Board of Sleep Medicine Registered Sleep Technologist, Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists Registered Polysomnographic Technologist, or Pennsylvania-licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist with the National Board for Respiratory Care advanced Sleep Disorders Specialist credential.
- Graduation from a CAHEEP-accredited school for Clinical Neurophysiology and/or obtaining a polysomnographer technician certificate is required.
- The Registered Sleep Technologist and/or Registered Polysomnographic Technologist registration must be obtained within 10 months of hire.
- Conduct and/or analyze sleep recordings of patients of all ages except infancy.
- Perform other related duties in the Sleep Disorders Center laboratories.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a full-service Sleep Disorders Center laboratory or equivalent experience.

Lankenau Institute for Medical Research (LIMR) is the research division of Main Line Health that conducts cancer and biomedical research and translates basic science into clinical applications.
