Requirements
  • Five to eight years of prior partnership experience is required.
  • Client-based account management experience, including partnership marketing, event marketing, or activation management.
  • Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects independently and with a larger team.
  • League or team experience and an understanding of the business of sports, sports media, intellectual property rights, and sponsorship.
  • Experience with on-site event management, event execution, and vendor management.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively and solve problems independently.
  • Ability to handle precise asset management records, allocation, tracking, and reconciliation.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Strong time management and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and non-traditional hours as required.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of clients’ businesses and forge partnerships with client-side counterparts, partners, and vendors.
  • Lead day-to-day management of the client’s sponsorship platform, including project plans, timelines, agency integration, and deliverables.
  • Develop and lead sponsorship rights and asset management processes.
  • Coordinate and manage activation programming with cross-functional teams and relevant agency partners for the client’s sponsorship platforms.
  • Provide strategic thinking and points of view for sponsorship initiatives, including event activation development, talent and influencer strategy, customer engagement, hospitality programming, media integration strategy, and content.
  • Manage partner and vendor relationships and coordinate necessary deliverables on behalf of the client.
  • Provide proactive strategic thinking and recommendations for the client.
  • Manage project budgets and invoicing deadlines.
  • Lead key meetings and calls with internal and external constituents.
  • Provide support to the Director and Vice President on overarching account management and planning.
