The JPB Foundation is a philanthropic organization that aims to create lasting change in the United States by focusing on three key areas: alleviating poverty, promoting environmental sustainability, and advancing medical research. The foundation works by providing financial support to selected non-profit organizations and research institutions that align with its mission. Unlike many other foundations, JPB Foundation does not accept unsolicited proposals; instead, it invites organizations to apply for grants, ensuring that it partners with strong leaders capable of making a significant impact. This selective grantmaking model allows the foundation to support initiatives that prevent issues rather than just addressing them after they occur, particularly in the fields of chronic diseases and neurological research. The foundation's goal is to empower individuals living in poverty, promote health equity, and foster economic justice through collaborative partnerships.
