Requirements
  • Deep experience in the video game, computer animation, or VFX industries, with demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality visuals and simulations.
  • Proven track record of leading and mentoring high-performing technical teams in game technology or related fields.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • A strong understanding of visual aesthetics, lighting, composition, and animation principles.
  • Ability to translate business objectives into actionable technical goals and roadmaps.
  • A knack for identifying and resolving complex technical challenges.
  • A drive to explore new technologies and methodologies to advance the state of the art.
  • In-depth knowledge of Unreal Engine and its application to rendering and simulation.
  • Familiarity with Houdini for 3D content creation and procedural workflows.
  • Strong programming skills in C++, the primary language used by our engineering team.
  • Experience with machine learning, computer vision, or synthetic data.
  • Experience using Perforce for source control and release management.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) for deploying and scaling applications.
Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership and strategic vision for our content, simulation, and rendering teams, fostering a culture of creativity and technical excellence.
  • Apply cutting-edge game technology principles and techniques to enhance the realism, fidelity, and performance of our synthetic data platform.
  • Define the technical roadmap for the team, aligning with broader company objectives and product vision.
  • Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables to ensure successful execution of projects.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (ML, platform, SDK, QA) to integrate and optimize graphics, simulation, and rendering within the broader product ecosystem.
  • Attract top talent and build a high-performing team capable of pushing the boundaries of game technology.
  • Establish and maintain high standards for code quality, performance optimization, and artistic excellence.
  • Continuously optimize system performance to meet the demands of complex simulations and rendering.
