Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • One to two years of cash-handling experience is required.
  • Basic knowledge of financial branch procedures and practices is required.
  • Computer proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft Office are required.
  • Bilingual proficiency is required, with the ability to communicate effectively with members.
  • French or Spanish proficiency is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Apply service principles to all interactions and provide service to colleagues and members.
  • Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, share drafts, money orders, check cashing, loan payments, and foreign currency transactions accurately while maintaining account confidentiality and cash security.
  • Ensure the safekeeping of cash, foreign currencies, and checks in compliance with regulations and credit union procedures.
  • Replenish automated teller machines, teller cash recyclers, and coin machines as needed.
  • Reconcile and complete required backup work at the end of the day and ensure safekeeping in the vault.
  • Keep abreast of changing and new regulations, credit union products, procedures, and technology.
  • Maintain awareness of and report suspicious activity.
  • Complete relevant Bank Secrecy Act reports, including Currency Transaction Reports and Suspicious Activity Reports, promptly and accurately.
  • Complete annual Bank Secrecy Act, anti-money laundering, and Office of Foreign Assets Control training.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, the Bank Secrecy Act, anti-money laundering policies and procedures, and the organization’s code of ethics and business conduct.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
