Requirements
  • A minimum of a high school diploma.
  • A strong interest in addiction treatment and willingness to receive training and become credentialed as a CASAC, for applicants without a CASAC credential.
  • Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, trauma-informed care, co-occurring disorders, and client confidentiality and privacy laws, for applicants without a CASAC credential.
  • A minimum of a high school diploma and at least one year of experience working with individuals with substance use disorders, for applicants with a CASAC credential.
  • Training and experience in trauma-informed care, co-occurring disorders, and relevant privacy and confidentiality laws, for applicants with a CASAC credential.
  • The ability to remain calm in difficult situations and provide steady support.
  • Strong organization and dependability.
Responsibilities
  • Develop a treatment plan with the Program Director or Clinical Supervisor that addresses the physical, medical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs and diagnoses of patients.
  • Use a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach to collaborate with patients and internal and external treatment team members in supporting treatment and recovery.
  • Provide clinical consultation to referral resources, mentors, family members, and others supporting patients in recovery.
  • Engage patients in decision-making and help them understand assessment benefits and access the appropriate level of care.
  • Collect and review referral information, consult as needed, and coordinate patient interviews and services.
  • Make referrals to appropriate programs and agencies based on assessments and treatment needs.
  • Assist patients with scheduling admissions or first appointments at referred programs or facilities.
  • Monitor patient access to and involvement with treatment and other providers, addressing barriers to treatment and recovery.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Services or a related field.
  • A CASAC credential.
