Requirements
  • Significant experience owning strategic partnerships, alliance relationships, or vendor/commercial relationships in enterprise software, cloud, and/or artificial intelligence, with a track record of detailed hands-on ownership.
  • Direct experience managing enterprise cloud commercial agreements, including consumption or spend commitments with at least one major hyperscaler and ownership of a renewal cycle from expiration planning through negotiation and close.
  • Experience driving product or technical integrations with a cloud partner and shaping joint go-to-market strategy connecting a product roadmap to partner initiatives.
  • Ability to operate as a single-threaded owner accountable for both strategy and execution while personally handling hands-on work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distill complex commercial and partnership topics into clear recommendations for executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong project and program management skills, including organizing complex workstreams, prioritizing effectively, and keeping multiple initiatives moving through direct, hands-on management.
  • Technical fluency in software development, platform integrations, and cloud infrastructure, with comfort engaging engineering and product counterparts in substantive discussions.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders on high-visibility initiatives, including preparing executive briefings, framing recommendations, and driving follow-through.
  • Ability to influence without formal authority, build strong working relationships across internal and external teams, and navigate multiple priorities with sound judgment.
  • Familiarity with the DevSecOps ecosystem and measuring partnership impact through spend efficiency and business or product outcomes rather than partner-sourced revenue or quota attainment.
Responsibilities
  • Own GitLab's cloud infrastructure partnerships with AWS and Google Cloud as the primary owner and point of contact, with accountability for their direction, operating rhythm, and outcomes.
  • Own the full commercial lifecycle of each relationship, including negotiating rates and terms, tracking consumption against committed spend, and leading renewal negotiations before contract expiration.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure spend in partnership with Finance and FinOps, including forecasting, true-ups, and cost optimization across both hyperscalers.
  • Drive product integrations with each partner by working with engineering and product management counterparts to identify, scope, and deliver joint technical initiatives.
  • Develop and lead joint go-to-market strategy for each partnership, connecting business priorities, the product roadmap, and artificial intelligence strategy to partner initiatives and executing those plans.
  • Build working relationships across partner organizations, including executive, product management, engineering, sales, and marketing stakeholders.
  • Run an operating cadence across complex initiatives with clear priorities, owners, timelines, coordination points, and personally driven follow-through.
  • Coordinate cross-functional work across product, engineering, sales, marketing, finance, and the executive group to support partnership goals.
  • Translate partner opportunities and requests into actionable internal plans covering roadmap discussions, integration needs, commercial terms, and executive recommendations.
  • Track and communicate partnership outcomes such as spend efficiency, consumption trends, renewal terms secured, integration progress, and joint go-to-market execution.
  • Represent the partnerships at the executive level by preparing recommendations, briefing executives, and driving alignment on investments, trade-offs, and next steps.
Desired Qualifications
  • Candidates based in US Eastern or Central time zones are preferred.

GitLab provides a unified DevOps platform that brings together the tools needed for software development, including code hosting, collaboration, CI/CD, issue tracking, and security, all in one application. It works by offering a single subscription-based platform where teams can plan, write, test, review, and deploy code through automated pipelines, reducing the need to manage separate tools. This differs from many competitors that require using a collection of separate products; GitLab consolidates these capabilities into one integrated solution, helping teams work more efficiently. The company’s goal is to help organizations speed up software delivery and improve collaboration by simplifying the DevOps process and continuously updating the platform with new features and improvements.

GitLab releases single-tenant AI and security suite for regulated enterprises

GitLab has released version 19.3 and expanded its Duo Agent Platform, allowing enterprises to run agentic AI inside single-tenant environments whilst managing credentials across their software development lifecycle. The update enables regulated organisations to deploy AI and security workflows within strict audit boundaries through GitLab Dedicated environments. The move addresses compliance requirements for data-sensitive customers but introduces potential complexity and cost challenges as the company scales AI features. GitLab's investment case hinges on whether AI tools like Duo Agents can drive upgrades and usage amid intense competition and slowing customer growth. The company's narrative projects $1.5 billion revenue and $186.3 million earnings by 2029, requiring 15.3% yearly revenue growth.
