Cloud Computing Platform Senior Developer

What is the opportunity?

This role within Quantitative and Technology Services (QTS) consists of developing core infrastructure  platform for the Structured Rates, Flow, and Equities desks within the RAMPP (Risk, Analytics, Modelling, Pricing & Processing) organization.

You will be working closely with various technology and business teams to create innovative and high quality technology solutions to support business growth and innovation. Hands-on developer lead, designing and developing our strategic grid compute tech stack.

This is an opportunity to work closely with highly-engaged clients on client and server-based pricing technologies. This London-based position requires candidates to possess excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills and deal with technology/trading/quant/support groups on a frequent basis.

What will you do?

• Face off to local colleagues and stakeholders to understand their requirements and convert them into solvable requirements
• Design and implement the requirements into a high performance, high scaling environment
• Contribute to or own parts of the application design to create best in class solutions
• Provide support for partners who are being onboarded to our framework
• Provide second-level technical support in case of production issues

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

• Strong C++ 14/17 development skills on Linux or Windows
• Knowledge of Kubernetes (cloud & on-prem) and Grid Compute Technologies
• Experience with Python
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to be able to work in a global distributed team of both colleagues and business stakeholders
• Ability to break large problems into well-defined and manageable tasks
• Willingness to learn and understand the Fixed Income / Equities business

Nice-to-have

• Knowledge of messaging and communication protocols such as TCP/IP and data serialization as well as inter- process communication
• Experience leading a development team
