Requirements
  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing or prototyping equipment such as: 3D printing, laser-cutting, CNC machining, assembly, drill press, band saw, hand tools, soldering…
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret mechanical drawings and diagrams
  • Technical expertise to troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical equipment
  • Continuous learner with an attention to detail and safety
  • Able to solve problems with critical thinking
  • Strong organization, documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently without much supervision
  • (Optional) CAD design experience (such as Solidworks, Fusion 360 or OnShape)
Responsibilities
  • Assemble and qualify Volta's consumables to support internal use and manage the inventory of consumable materials
  • Perform quality control and document assembly of Volta consumables
  • Help improve Volta's consumable manufacturing processes
  • Support the engineering team's prototyping, manufacturing and assembly of mechanical and electrical components
  • Elevate issues and help solve problems
  • As engineering and manufacturing technician, you will work across all our engineering functions and get your hands on projects from early concepts to scale-up manufacturing
