Requirements
  • An active Secret DoD clearance
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cloud Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, systems engineering, or IT infrastructure management.
  • Proven experience managing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCP) with a focus on performance and scale.
  • Strong understanding of federal government cybersecurity frameworks, including NIST, FedRAMP, DISA STIGs, and/or Zero Trust.
  • Expertise in designing and managing high-performance, scalable cloud environments.
  • Deep knowledge of SaaS architecture, API integrations, and cloud-native services.
  • Strong background in cloud security, IAM, encryption, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) for cloud automation.
  • Understanding of networking principles, including VPNs, firewalls, and cloud-native networking.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to optimize cloud resources for cost and performance.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud architectures with a focus on performance, reliability, and security.
  • Optimize SaaS platforms for seamless integration with enterprise cloud environments.
  • Architect and manage secure data connections across cloud environments, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Implement and maintain cloud security best practices to meet federal cybersecurity requirements (e.g., NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, DISA STIGs, Zero Trust Architecture).
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure for performance bottlenecks and scalability challenges, implementing optimization strategies.
  • Develop and enforce cloud governance policies, including IAM, access controls, and compliance with regulatory frameworks.
  • Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for automation and efficiency.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and best practices to enhance cloud and SaaS performance.
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and stakeholders on cloud architectures and security practices.
