Requirements
  • A 4-year college degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience creating Business Intelligence strategies, implementing strategic initiatives, and managing a Business Intelligence Team.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis using Power BI.
  • Strong knowledge of Data Warehouse architecture and experience using SQL query techniques to access SQL server or other relational databases.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team-based environment.
  • Effective presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience leading technical staff through all phases of the software development life cycle.
  • Experience with relational databases (such as Microsoft SQL Server).
  • Proficient in SSMS, SSRS, and SSIS.
  • Advanced knowledge of code repository and version control (such as Git).
  • Integration framework/architecture such as API, micro-services (REST/SOAP or JSON/XML).
  • Familiarity with some programming languages preferred: HTML/CSS, AJAX, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, Python, .NET/C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, SQL.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and collaborate effectively in teams with all levels of the organization.
  • Thorough knowledge of banking products and services, procedures and guidelines, regulations, and field of membership requirements.
  • In-depth thorough knowledge of regulations applicable to essential responsibilities.
  • Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of how to use a personal computer and MS Office products on a daily basis (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Jack Henry (Symitar, ARCU).
Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive Business Intelligence solutions, including reporting, analytics, visualizations, and overseeing the creation and management of the Data Warehouse.
  • Partner with Leaders to establish and continually reinforce data governance practices creating and maintaining a KPI Catalog to standardize data reporting logic.
  • Effectively leverage data visualization tools such as Power BI to create impactful and insightful visuals that assist Leadership with business decisions.
  • Proactively identify enhancement opportunities to continuously improve technologies and applications and effectively deliver Data and Analytics to enhance the Credit Union's competitive position.
  • Closely collaborate with various levels of management; develop and document the vision and strategies of what BI is and will be within the organization.
  • Perform analysis, prioritization, and recommendation of technologies and projects to be considered for implementation along with oversight of those projects.
  • Lead the BI team in developing dashboards, reports, and managing data extracts.
  • Support the development and deployment of data solutions that leverage technology to improve and simplify daily activities.
  • Effectively manage team resources to consistently deliver a timely and high-quality work product that supports both operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Research new and existing BI tools, processes, and technologies to increase the ability to provide relevant historical, current, and predictive views of members and their behaviors, products and services, and business operations.
  • Develop strong working relationships with leaders and peers across the Credit Union in addition to driving high levels of employee engagement.
  • Establish and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage relationships with key business partners, vendors, and consultants.
  • Prioritize and oversee efforts to improve and streamline existing processes.
  • Create and maintain daily processing documentation and perform other duties as assigned.
