What you’ll be doing...

You’ll be working on our Verizon Global Services Technology team to develop exciting new technologies at the forefront of the customer experience for Verizon Consumer Group. Our startup-like environment is fast-paced and has cross-functional teams working side-by-side to build exciting next-generation products. • Leading a high performing team of engineers responsible for building software systems and technology solutions for Verizon Corporate Stores and Partner Stores.

• Engaging with Technology, Business stakeholders and Senior Leadership to drive product roadmap, define the priorities and deliver products with best quality for a high scale use.

• Working closely with the Architects and cross functional teams to ensure overall architecture and design are aligned with Industry’s best practices.

• Understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) landscape including Generative AI and Agentic AI to drive purposeful innovation and building solutions for Retail and Stores eco-system.

• Leading the people and setting the team priorities that support Organization's broader goals. Establishing clear expectations with individuals based on their level and role, meeting regularly to discuss performance, provide feedback and coaching.

• Collaborating with external suppliers and managing their integration with Verizon on required initiatives.
   

What we’re looking for...

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

• Six or more years of relevant work experience.

• Eight or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

• Software design and development experience in building Web Applications and iOS Native App for high availability and scale.

• Experience in diverse technology stack including Java, Spring, Micro-services, React JS and Micro Frontends.

• Experience in managing large applications and delivery of multiple projects in the development space by providing technical leadership.

• Experience in designing and implementing technology solutions for Retail and Store ecosystem would be preferred.

• Experience in leading software development teams encompassing the responsibilities including performance management, employee engagement, training and career development.
   

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Master’s degree in computer science, engineering or technology streams.

• Experience in designing and implementing AI, Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions for customer interaction channels.

• Problem solving and analytical skills ability to assimilate data from varied sources, apply deductive reasoning and scientific method, make inferences, draw testable conclusions, and resolve problems.

• Experience in migrating web applications to Cloud (AWS).
