Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent guest service, answer questions, and address guest concerns.
  • Assist guests in locating bakery items and handling special requests.
  • Take accurate orders for cakes and other custom bakery products.
  • Answer phone calls courteously and provide information and assistance.
  • Package and price items while maintaining quality and minimizing waste.
  • Replenish bakery products and maintain appealing display standards.
  • Monitor stock levels and restock products to meet demand.
  • Rotate stock, remove outdated items, and ensure product freshness and presentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, shelves, and the sales floor.
  • Adhere to food safety protocols and maintain accurate records.
  • Uphold company quality standards and meet product quantity expectations.
  • Attend work regularly and punctually according to the schedule, providing adequate notice for occasional absences.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the team.

Schnuck Markets Acquires Festival Foods

Schnuck Markets, Inc. has acquired 100% of the shares of Festival Foods and Hometown Grocers, Inc. through the 1939 Group, Inc., owned by the Schnuck family. The acquisition includes shares from CEO Mark Skogen and the Employee Stock Ownership Plan. The 1939 Group will maintain the existing store banners and corporate headquarters, with Todd Schnuck as Chairman and CEO. The transaction is expected to close in October, subject to customary approvals.
