ThePrincipal Architect Role

The Qlik SaaS Platform supports a growing number of Business Units, Features, capabilities and Workloads comprising Qlik Cloud. From Data Integration to Analytics, Reporting, AutoML and AI solutions, Qlik Cloud provides cutting edge capabilities to customers of all sizes in regions around the globe – supporting fast growing MAU and Data processing volumes.

Our leading K8S based architecture has allowed us to integrate new capabilities and companies quickly, meet rapid scalability growth, and maintain high service levels. As Qlik Cloud becomes increasingly mission critical for the world’s largest enterprises, we need to elevate our platform to even higher levels of scalability, resilience and extensibility.

As a key technical leader, you willelevate our engineering discipline with a combination of hands-on coding, architectural thought leadership, packaging, documenting and enabling teams on platform capabilities, and integrating new workloads onto the Qlik Platform in an extensible, efficient and resilient manner. You will move fast, working with teams around the world to advance state of the art engineering at Qlik.

We’re looking for a teammate with:

• Demonstrated expertise in architecting and engineering large-scale resilient, scalable and extensible SaaS platforms operating at global scale.
• Experience with Amazon AWS and containerization (Kubernetes).
• Experience delivering microservices in a SaaS continuous delivery environment.
• Experience designing and implementing highly scalable and performant microservice software patterns for cloud services.
• Experience with event-driven systems.
• Experience driving analysis, design, and implementation of public APIs, especially REST-based, and application components.
• Passion for quality and customer success.
• Independent learner who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with strong. communication, analytical and interpersonal skills working within cross-functional team.
• Experience working with andproviding architectural leadershipacross geographically distributed teams.
• An understanding and appreciation of the purpose and the practices ofdevopsand agile; accompanied with the skills to deliver reliably and effectively.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $190,000 - $215,000 per year. This position is bonus eligible. Final compensation offered by Qlik will be based on factors such as the candidate’s location, job-related skills, education, experience, and other business and organizational needs.Qlik offers a comprehensive benefits package, eligibility requirements for benefits will be controlled by applicable Qlik plan documents and policies.
