Requirements
  • Master's degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Business, Math, Physics or a related quantitative field plus 3 years of Asset Backed Securities experience or related experience; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Business, Math, Physics or related quantitative field plus 5-7 years of Asset Backed Securities experience or related experience.
  • Must have structured products experience and demonstrated knowledge of fixed income markets
  • Must have demonstrated financial modeling skills to understand and develop deal structure and cash flow waterfall models for revolving and amortizing transactions
  • Must have experience using Intex and Bloomberg.
  • Must have experience evaluating/pricing asset-backed securities
  • Must have demonstrated quantitative skills, including performing bond math
  • Ability to communicate and work under tight timeframes with internal and external clients, including finance, trading, sales, structurers, legal counsel, rating agencies, accountants, and trustees
  • Enthusiastic, proactive team player that will drive transactions and projects
Responsibilities
  • Structure securitizations across various asset backed sectors on both principal and third party transactions. Modeling and tie-out with accounting firms and / or third party issuers
  • Review term sheets and deal structures in securitization related documents (offering memorandums, servicing agreements, etc.)
  • Collaborate with coverage teams to monitor market developments, reverse engineer structures, and innovate unique features to optimize financing goals of the issuer; understanding the implications of and solving for different regulatory, structural and market impacts
  • Work to develop Intex and Excel financial models in support of transaction execution, rating agency interactions and investor dialogue. Work to identify areas of research that are critical to product development, credit enhancement within transactions, or investor education. Lead research projects, production of results and ensuring communications
  • The ideal person is a self-starter who can work independently, but also pair seamlessly with internal and external stakeholders (including finance, sales and trading teams), structurers, legal counsel, rating agencies, accountants, and trustees. We expect that this professional will be a key part of our coverage team and will participate in and travel to meetings and client events
