Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent with at least 3 years of kitting management experience in the electronics manufacturing industry, or an Associate’s degree or higher with at least 1 year of production management experience in electronics manufacturing.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver accurate material kits to production lines based on build plans, bills of materials, and work-order requirements.
  • Monitor kitting execution to support production schedule attainment, work-in-progress readiness, and line stability.
  • Ensure kit accuracy, including the correct part, quantity, revision, and labeling, and deliver kits on time to support daily output targets.
  • Maintain line-side replenishment and smooth material flow across shifts.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliation, and disciplined transactions in enterprise resource planning and manufacturing execution systems.
  • Ensure compliance with first-in, first-out handling, lot control, shelf-life handling, and traceability requirements.
  • Maintain documentation and storage compliance to support audit readiness.
  • Track daily kitting workload, manpower coverage, and material readiness status, and proactively flag risks impacting production.
  • Provide on-floor guidance to operators and line leaders on standard work, safety practices, and quality requirements.
  • Assist with operator onboarding, cross-training, and skill-matrix updates.
  • Help maintain discipline in attendance, task assignment, and shift handoff execution.
  • Ensure assembly operations follow standard operating procedures, electrostatic discharge controls, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Ensure materials are stored, labeled, and transported in compliance with internal quality requirements and customer standards.
  • Prepare daily and weekly production summaries covering kitting status, shortages, and inventory accuracy, and communicate progress, risks, and action items to management.
  • Document issues, root causes, and follow-up actions, and ensure closure with defined owners and timelines.
  • Support leadership meetings with accurate data, line status, and improvement recommendations.
  • Improve kitting efficiency by optimizing picking routes, staging layout, packing methods, and line-side delivery processes.
  • Reduce mis-picks, rework, material-handling waste, and downtime through Kaizen, 5S, and standard work.
  • Provide data-driven insights to improve material-flow performance and prevent recurring issues.
Desired Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of kitting workflows and related operational techniques, including material preparation, line-side delivery, and kit-accuracy control.
  • Knowledge of quality-control systems and standards, including the ability to develop and execute basic quality-control plans for material-related issues such as mis-picks, wrong parts, and labeling errors.
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning and manufacturing execution systems and manufacturing data-analysis tools.
  • OSHA 10-Hour General Industry training certificate.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint, for data analysis, reporting, and presentations.

In two major developments, India and Costa Rica have secured substantial foreign direct investment (FDI) commitments aimed at diversifying production capacity away from traditional manufacturing hubs. According to Bloomberg, Foxconn (Hon Hai Precision Industry) has approved a $1 billion investment to construct a new electronics assembly facility in Karnataka, India. Reports from Reuters and The Economic Times indicate that this initiative is part of the company's broader strategy to diversify its global manufacturing footprint and expand its capacity outside of China. Agility Robotics is going public through a SPAC merger with Churchill Capital Corp XI at a $2.5bn valuation, significantly below private humanoid robotics rivals. Foxconn to 'build up' manufacturing at Ohio plant in 2027. by Staff Thursday, August 13, 2026 TAIPAI, Taiwan - Hon Hai Technologies, more commonly known as Foxconn, said Thursday it plans to increase its capital spending next year and boost manufacturing in Ohio in response to anticipated high demand for artificial intelligence systems. "In response to American localization needs, Texas, Wisconsin, Ohio and California will see build up in R&D and manufacturing capabilities" in 2027, the company said in a statement announcing its second-quarter earnings. "The group currently has no plans for direct equity financing and will maintain a sound capital structure to meet future operational and expansion needs." No other details were provided. Foxconn is in the process of transforming the former General Motors plant in Lordstown into a manufacturing hub for AI components and server racks. Last year, Foxconn sold the plant to SoftBank Group for $375 million, which is constructing a small data center at the plant. The plant - a 6.2 million-square-foot factory - shut down in 2019 and was then sold to Lordstown Motors Corp., which sold it to Foxconn in 2023. Foxconn said it would remain in the plant as a contract manufacturer to support the project. In November, SoftBank affiliate Crescent Dune LLC filed documents with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency affirming its plans for an expansion project in Lordstown related to "manufacturing and assembly for modular data center and server manufacturing; assembly for IT server rack and servers; modular data center for IT, power distribution, HVAC, and related components." The filing also included a site map depicting an expansion area just north of the plant. According to reports at the time, SoftBank said it would invest up to $3 billion in Lordstown to manufacture components for OpenAI's data centers. Foxconn reported that revenue during the second quarter reached $77.5 billion. Net profit for the quarter was $1.87 billion. "Looking ahead to the third quarter, the traditional peak season, operations are expected to gradually pick up," the company said. "Overall, the July-September quarter is expected to see significant quarter-on-quarter growth and strong year-on-year growth. For the full year 2026, thanks to strong demand for AI servers and growth in smart consumer electronics, the outlook for strong growth remains unchanged." During the first half of 2026, revenue reached $144.4 billion, an increase of 35% compared with the same period last year. Net profit stood at $3.4 billion during the first half, an increase of 27% compared with the first half of 2025.

Business Thursday 13/August/2026 07:01 AM Taipei: Foxconn reported its highest-ever net profit for the second quarter, rising 35 per cent year-on-year to NT$59.97 billion ($1.86 billion), as cloud and networking products accounted for more than half of its revenue amid strong demand linked to AI infrastructure investments, according to a news report by Focus Taiwan. The report noted that the company's net profit for the April-June quarter rose 20 per cent from the previous quarter, while earnings per share increased to NT$4.27 (USD 0.133) from NT$3.19 (USD 0.099) a year earlier and NT$3.56 (USD 0.111) in the first quarter. Foxconn's consolidated sales rose 41 per cent year-on-year to NT$2.53 trillion (USD 78.56 billion) in the second quarter, up 19 per cent from the previous quarter. The cloud and networking division accounted for 51 per cent of total revenue in the quarter, up from 48 per cent in the first quarter. Smart consumer electronics contributed 29 per cent of sales, while computing and electronic components accounted for 15 per cent and 5 per cent, respectively. The report said Foxconn's second-quarter operations improved significantly from both a year earlier and the previous quarter, supported by a stronger product portfolio that included AI servers and AI racks, driven by investment in AI infrastructure. The company's operating margin rose to 3.75 per cent in the second quarter from 3.15 per cent a year earlier and 3.57 per cent in the first quarter. However, gross margin declined to 6.12 per cent from 6.33 per cent a year earlier and 6.18 per cent in the previous quarter. Net margin stood at 2.37 per cent, down from 2.47 per cent a year earlier but marginally higher than 2.36 per cent in the first quarter. According to the report, Foxconn's net profit for the first half of 2026 stood at NT$109.89 billion (USD 3.41 billion), up 27 per cent year-on-year, while earnings per share reached NT$7.84 (USD 0.244). Consolidated sales for the January-June period rose 35 per cent from a year earlier to NT$4.65 trillion (USD 144.43 billion), the report added. The results highlight the growing contribution of Foxconn's cloud and networking business to its overall revenue during the current AI boom.
