  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • One year of recent experience as an Off Hours Scheduler in a home care agency or another healthcare field is required.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, is required.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team is required.
  • Excellent telephone and customer service skills are required.
  • Attention to detail, organization, and flexibility are required.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English is required.
Responsibilities
  • Fill scheduling requests as quickly and independently as possible with caregivers most likely to meet client needs.
  • Provide timely and effective responses to client and caregiver needs.
  • Route time-off requests through the scheduling manager to ensure coverage.
  • Email the Home Care Team promptly each morning after on-call, at approximately 8:30 a.m., with time-sensitive information and remain available for follow-up questions.
  • Update schedules and document appropriately in the software system.
  • Communicate with clients regarding schedule changes, tardiness, or other situations requiring communication.
  • Communicate client schedules and assigned-shift duties to caregivers.
  • Escalate issues appropriately.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information pertaining to employees, clients, and clients' family members.
  • Provide a seamless transition of support between Associated's official business hours and on-call hours.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Associated Home Care is a provider of nonmedical and supportive home-care services. It helps older adults and other clients remain at home through personal care, homemaking, companionship, transportation, and related assistance. Families, caregivers, referral partners, and community programs use its local care teams for scheduled and ongoing support. Caregivers are coordinated through assessment, matching, scheduling, supervision, training, and branch operations.
