DesignShop’s shoppable inspiration is highly accurate and when coupled with its hyper-realistic interactive design tools, allows users to create beautiful scenes comprised of any material in its library. DesignShop is seeking a Content and Product Merchandising Manager to lead the shaping of product selection and content curation of our digital platform. This multifaceted role requires a deep understanding of residential interior design, as well as the leading brands and products that power the home design market. As the Content and Product Merchandising Manager, you will be instrumental in defining both the ’what’ and ’how’ of our Brand Partners’ products, profoundly influencing how customers experience DesignShop. The ability to analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscapes will be a key element in setting DesignShop apart from conventional home design offerings.
In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing the presentation of our brands and their products, ensuring that DesignShop offers handpicked content that captivates and resonates with our target audience. Central to your responsibilities will be the selection of new brands and products, curating inspirational collections, selecting featured products, and ensuring optimal merchandising strategies across all channels. This is a unique opportunity to shape the trajectory of our platform’s growth, leveraging your expertise to establish best practices, pioneering innovative merchandising strategies, and crafting a cohesive and resonant experience for our audience, driving engagement and loyalty across all touchpoints.
What you’ll do:
- Harness Your Superpower: Leverage your residential interior design strengths and market knowledge expertise to inspire customers through product selection and content creation and trend strategies to provide a sense of inspiration and buying confidence.
- Dive Deep: Conduct thorough analysis of market data, customer feedback, and performance metrics to gain insights into consumer interests informing strategic merchandising decisions.
- Drive Results: Set ambitious goals and KPIs for merchandising performance, relentlessly pursuing excellence and driving continuous improvement to achieve and exceed targets.
- Speed Matters: Act swiftly to identify emerging market trends and capitalize on opportunities, ensuring that our digital marketplace remains agile and responsive to evolving consumer preferences.
- Be a Team Player: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, and sales to align merchandising efforts with overall business objectives and ensure a cohesive brand experience.
- Simplify: Streamline workflows and operational procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring that our merchandising strategies are executed across all channels.
- Exercise Good Judgment: Make informed decisions regarding product selection, brand partnerships, and merchandising strategies, always prioritizing the best interests of our customers and the company.
What you’ll bring:
- 10+ years of residential design-related experience
- 4+ years online buying/merchandising experience
- A strong bias for action and sense of curiosity
- Out-the-box thinking needed to develop innovative merchandising approaches
- Proven ability to lead autonomously and operate in a hands-on manner
- Comfortable with decision-making and taking calculated risks to grow the business
- Exceptionally analytical and detail-oriented
- Ability to design and develop internal processes and implement structure
