Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6)
Responsibilities
  • Create journal entries for monthly clinical revenue entries, accruals, intercompany transfers, and other adjustments.
  • Record ad hoc bank transactions.
  • Record PEO (Professional Employer Organization) transactions and related accruals.
  • Manage non-patient billing and accounts receivable processes.
  • Track bad debt expense and write-offs for patient and non-patient accounts.
  • Run monthly aging report.
  • Review and approve purchase requisitions.
  • Create and process internal service delivery (ISD) transactions and review and approve ISDs submitted by other departments.
  • Guide Travel and Procurement Coordinators (TPCs) on expense coding and Pcard reconciliation.
  • Review patient and insurance refunds for accuracy in Workday prior to director approval and process approved refunds.
  • Review biweekly payroll for PEO staff.
  • Conduct weekly settlement runs.
  • Perform bank reconciliations.
  • Reconcile cash drawer with eClinicalWorks entries.
  • Deposit cash and checks from patients and insurance payers.
  • Run monthly depreciation and generate asset register reports.
  • Conduct monthly balance sheet analyses.
  • Update PEO personnel data in Adaptive and generate monthly actual vs budget and forecast staffing reports.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders in the budgeting process for assigned areas.
  • Update monthly expense forecasts in Adaptive.
  • File unclaimed property with the State of Florida annually.
  • Support annual audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Review and verify annual 1099 forms.
  • Complete all required university and college training.
  • Cross-train and serve as a backup for other team members on annual leave.
Desired Qualifications
  • Accounting experience in the medical industry.
  • 3–5 years of prior experience in accounting or a related financial role.
  • Experience with Workday or similar ERP.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, both verbal and written.
