About the Role

We are looking for an individual who wants to work in a rapidly growing company and has a passion for development using WordPress and other modern JavaScript frameworks.  You will take ownership of the day-to-day running of our portfolio of sites and be part of a team that will create solutions that have a direct impact on the company’s financial performance.

Your Day-to-Day

• Help build, maintain, and grow the 3S UK digital portfolio.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to define and execute on key initiatives.
• Work closely with our product manager to manage and prioritise a pipeline of incoming development change requests. 
• Create, manage and optimise consumer lead generation websites using HTML / CSS / Javascript / PHP in a WordPress environment
• Integrate with 3rd party APIs and write new custom plugins, themes and web services to help streamline development team efforts and create scalable and easily manageable solutions for our business
• Ensure quality code and solutions are delivered by helping to architect scalable best-practice solutions, selecting and testing plugins, ensuring quality code commenting and documentation processes are followed and completing code reviews prior to QA and UAT testing.
• Facilitate end to end development lifecycle using Git workflows 
• Support the implementation of AB testing changes on high traffic websites to enable better consumer experience

About You

• 5+ years of professional front-end development with a focus on developing on sites on WordPress
• Strong experience in HTML5, CSS3, SASS, JavaScript, JSON and Wordpress (ACF, WPForms, Gutenberg blocks, custom post types and taxonomies) and PHP
• Experience managing Wordpress hosting environments like Cloudways, AWS, Pantheon, Pagely, and/or WP Engine
• Experience delivering fully-responsive and progressive mobile-first websites. 
• Experience using GitHub and Git for source control changes
• Experience using one or more advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as React, Vue or Angular (React Preferred)
• Experience with developing high performing pages which pass Google’s Core Web Vitals and maintain high performance scores on mobile and desktop
• (optional) A good understanding of UX/UI principles or experience with design tools such as figma
• (optional) Experience in creating and managing lead generation forms

The Package

Base salary and performance-based bonus commensurate with experience. At 3S UK, you’ll have access to a pension as well as a growing list of competitive benefits. Three Ships offers flexible working, with hybrid, remote and office work available. The head office is located in the London Bridge area.
