Requirements
  • Proven experience as benefits administrator
  • Must be fluent in both English and French
  • Solid understanding of different benefit plans (retirement, health & dental insurance etc.) and relevant regulations
  • Experience with ADP human resource management is a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office and/or HRMS system (e.g. Oracle)
  • Understanding of data recording and analysis
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal and negotiation abilities
  • Attention to detail
  • Reliable with adherence to confidentiality dictations
  • BSc/Ba in business administration, human resources or relevant field
Responsibilities
  • Assist with benefit program design (insurance, wellness etc.)
  • Assist staff with eligibility claims related issues (as necessary)
  • Assume responsibility to audit monthly benefit plan invoices and timely payment of monthly premiums
  • Manage enrollments and determine employee eligibility
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret employee benefits data, including claims, utilization trends, and cost structures
  • Assist with annual plan renewal/marketing analysis
  • Handle Leave of Absence procedures and follow up with staff to initiate leaves and return to work in partnership with the HR team and the applicable staff manager
  • Keep updated employee records with all relevant information (marital status, years of service, hours worked etc.)
  • Inform employees of their benefit options and plans and monitor use
  • Collaborate with payroll/finance departments for payments and deductions
  • Will be involved in regional benefits/wellness related projects as those are identified
