Responsibilities

Support the overall corporate planning processes for all budgets and short-term forecasts
Responsible for rolling up department level forecasts as well as acting as SFP&A business partner to functional leaders
Trusted advisor to the SVP of SFP&A and the CFO. Proactively collaborate, influence, and align the corporate planning processes to achieve overall Company strategy
Work cross functionally to support departmental leadership in executing financial initiatives; Oversee planning, reporting and analytics as well as support decision making
Partner with the broader organization to drive process and systematic improvements across the Company
Support Accounting team in certain monthly and quarterly close procedures
Support preparation of presentations to Board of Directors and Company management
Assist the departmental VPs with ad-hoc financial analysis to support decision making
Based in California: $176,500-196,000
The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state

Desired Qualifications

5 to 10 years of FP&A experience managing a global P&L in fast-paced, high-growth environments
Willingness to roll up your sleeves, handle large amounts of data and build complex financial models (in Excel and Anaplan)
Strong analytical background with the ability to creatively solve problems with a data-driven approach
Must demonstrate analytical prowess, strategic thinking and a command of the details
Extremely well organized, and data driven
Ability to deal with conflict and manage expectations
Exposure to key financial management processes as required in a scaling organization
Self-starter capable of driving business results without significant supervision
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or related fields; MBA or CFA a plus
Enterprise SaaS experience

Coupa Software is looking for a Director of SFP&A to join Coupa’s Strategic Finance, Planning & Analysis team. This leader will drive value across a broad spectrum of the Company’s operations with a particular focus on supporting the Company wide annual planning process, financial & operational metric reporting and supporting a wide range of strategic analysis and decision making processes.

The Director of SFP&A will support planning for key business processes and requires strong financial reporting, planning and modeling skills and solid business judgment. The position also requires the ability to understand the big picture of the Company’s financial model, while being very detail oriented. Impeccable character, integrity, and work ethic are critical for success. The position will be supported by the SVP of FP&A, work closely with the Finance leadership team and will be based out of our San Mateo, CA headquarters.
