Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in supporting electronic trading systems
  • 5+ years working with Financial exchanges (CME, Eurex, ICE, etc.)
  • 5+ Years working with Fix protocol
  • Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • On-call availability to work outside of core business hours or on weekends or holidays
  • Prior experience supporting critical, high-performance applications, process monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Trade/App support experience working for a proprietary Trading Firm
  • Excellent Troubleshooting skills
  • Good attention to detail when digging through log files to find application issues
  • Strong Linux/Windows experience
  • Ability to pick up and understand new processes/applications
  • Financial industry experience and understanding of basic trading terminology
  • Scripting (python/perl/bash, etc)
  • Detailed knowledge of the Trade Life Cycle
  • Database experience (MSSQL,mysql,etc)
Responsibilities
  • Act as the first line of investigation/resolution before escalating to the Service Owner. Troubleshoot desktop and server trading applications
  • Subject Matter Expert for all Geneva Trading applications
  • Work with Trader Groups to understand how they trade to aid in troubleshooting any trading issue that may arise.
  • Onboard Traders and update trading credentials as required.
  • Work with Traders to maximize their understanding and mastery of the Geneva Trading internal desktop trading application and any new software updates.
  • Build and tune monitoring tools to prioritize desired alerts and prevent unwanted/unneeded alerts.
  • Script solutions to automate basic tasks as needed
  • Test and deploy new releases
  • Work with traders to troubleshoot/resolve hardware issues.
  • Document processes and procedures related to trading applications and exchanges.
