As a Trade Desk Analyst at Gelber Securities, LLC, you will work directly with a successful trading desk that trades derivatives listed on the U.S. markets. You will be joining a team of experienced traders with many years in the industry who will help mentor and guide you through the financial markets. An amazing opportunity to learn and grow from a team of intelligent and skilled individuals.

This position can either sit in our Chicago Headquarters office or remote within the United States.

What you’ll do:

• Provide the team with research, news, and up-to-date information regarding the financial markets
• Meaningfully improve our PnL by identifying equity catalysts and potential trade opportunities
• Actively find issues and opportunities in earnings dates, dividends, and other inputs for our models to improve human and algorithmic trades
• Assist our developers in their ongoing effort to fully automate the maintenance of these inputs and improve our models by identifying anomalies and shortcomings in the production environment and suggesting improvements
• Identify and follow the organizations and individuals behind the themes and memes that move our markets

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
• 0-3 years of work experience, focused on financial analysis
• Strong critical thinking skills, high attention to detail, and a strong sense of urgency
• Strong passion for the financial markets including the ability to have intelligent conversations on current market trends
• Superior analytical skills with a proven strong mathematical aptitude
• Self-motivation, excellent communication, and ability to work with others in a remote environment
• Proficient with Excel
• Knowledge of working with Bloomberg is a bonus

The annual base salary range is $80-120,000, plus discretionary bonus eligibility. Offers to be determined based on experience, education, and skillset.
