Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science degree or above in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in private funds, including experience with a fund administrator, public accounting firm, or asset manager.
  • Strong experience with investment company accounting, ideally including accounting for both public and private investments.
  • Strong experience with open-ended fund structures, including multi-share-class funds.
  • Proficient knowledge of United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and a general understanding of other accounting frameworks, such as Luxembourg Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Experience overseeing third-party administrators.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to operate in a high-growth and evolving product environment.
  • A strong control mindset focused on accuracy, risk management, and process improvement.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage concurrent workflows involving net asset value, investor flows, and reporting.
  • Ability to solve complex structural, operational, and accounting challenges.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting, reporting, and fund operations for assigned open-ended private investment funds.
  • Partner with the third-party fund administrator and internal teams to strike monthly net asset values.
  • Validate net-asset-value-impacting activity, including public and private investments, subscription and redemption activity, management and performance fees, expenses, and net asset values of other entities within the fund structure.
  • Assist with reviewing financial statements and recurring filings.
  • Provide information to Product, Investor Relations, Tax, Compliance, and other teams, and conduct ad hoc analyses related to fund and investor activity.
  • Serve as a control point and subject matter expert for semi-liquid fund operations.
  • Help design and scale operational infrastructure for the evergreen platform.
  • Oversee the monthly net asset value process, including review of administrator outputs.
  • Review complex private portfolio company, private credit, and public investment transactions.
  • Validate portfolio valuation inputs and fair value adjustments.
  • Validate management fee and performance fee calculations, including high-water-mark and incentive-fee structures.
  • Validate income allocations and expense accruals.
  • Ensure the accuracy of investor records, flows, and capital balances in operational systems.
  • Oversee related third-party service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with the prescribed accounting framework and governing documents.
  • Support preparation and review of financial statements and regulatory reporting.
  • Partner with Investor Relations and the Transfer Agent on dealing-date workflows, investor communications, and reporting.
  • Partner with Treasury, Product, Governance, and Investment teams on liquidity forecasting and cash management.
  • Partner with Capital Formation, Legal, and Tax teams on fund-structuring considerations for evergreen vehicles and operational readiness.
  • Drive the design and improvement of operating models, workflows, and controls for semi-liquid funds.
  • Develop and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and operational controls.

Clay raises funding at $7B valuation, more than doubling in a year

Clay, a New York-based startup selling AI tools for sales and marketing teams, has agreed to a new funding round led by Wellington Management at a $7 billion pre-money valuation, Axios reported on 31 August. The round's exact size has not been disclosed, and it is unclear whether it has fully closed. The valuation marks Clay's third jump in about a year, up from $3.1 billion in August 2025 and $5 billion in a January 2026 employee tender offer led by DST Global. The company was founded in 2017 by Kareem Amin and Nicolae Rusan. Clay markets itself as a go-to-market platform that pulls data from over 150 external sources and uses AI agents to research prospects and personalise outbound sales messages. Its customers reportedly include OpenAI, Anthropic, and Canva.

Avere Therapeutics raises $500M to advance once-weekly oral IL-23 therapy AVR-001

Avere Therapeutics announced a $500 million private placement to advance AVR-001, its once-weekly oral IL-23 receptor antagonist for inflammatory diseases. Leading healthcare investors including Venrock Healthcare Capital Partners, General Atlantic, Blackstone Multi-Asset Investing, and Wellington Management participated in the funding round. Tarsus Pharmaceuticals has secured $125 million through an oversubscribed private placement equity financing.
