  • Bachelor’s Degree/Technical Diploma (or equivalent experience in a technical support role)
  • Minimum 5+ year relevant experience supporting Enterprise class environments, including tools, hardware, operating systems and applications
  • Canadian Citizen or Canadian Permanent Resident must have ability to pass security and background checks to get Secret security level clearance
  • Demonstrated problem solving, ability to think strategically, assess situations, set priorities and decision-making skills
  • Active valid SECRET security clearance (preferred)
  • Work experience with public sector customers (preferred)
  • Dell Enterprise Server and storage knowledge (would make you stand out)
  • Multiple OS knowledge and implementation experience (would make you stand out)
  • Knowledge of networking and routing technologies (would make you stand out)
  • Knowledge of UNISYS MCP systems (would make you stand out)
  • Knowledge of AB-Suite / Visual Studio (would make you stand out)
  • Practical hands-on SQL and/or DMSII experience (would make you stand out)
  • Knowledge of legacy programming languages such as COBOL, PL/I and Assemble would be an asset (would make you stand out)
  • Relevant experience supporting business critical enterprise application suites (skills and experience)
  • Experience with; Windows Server, enterprise class OS system utilities; data communications; networking (skills and experience)
  • Strong technical problem solving and analytical skills to diagnose debug and repair programming issues (skills and experience)
  • Working knowledge of database technologies, and related software applications (skills and experience)

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, assess, and identify remedies and workarounds for a variety of service incidents.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize customer problems in ServiceNow to ensure that inquiries are successfully resolved.
  • Provide technical expertise and functional support for software and hardware systems.
  • Analyze and evaluate the impact of application changes and enhancements.
  • Provide detailed technical advice and guidance to users, clients, and staff.
  • Ability to produce technical and descriptive documentation.
  • Support production, test, and development environments including system maintenance, software upgrades and patching.
  • Effectively communicate with the various government stakeholders to keep them updated on the status of assigned activities.
