Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Obtain Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Three years of health care experience.
  • Ability to assist patients and move equipment and supplies.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, push carts, and position patients for less than 50% of work time.
  • Ability to perform bending and stretching movements as needed.
  • Ability to work in a clinical environment with regular and constant exposure to communicable disease and bloodborne pathogens.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate activities related to patient care within the ambulatory office.
  • Provide daily supervision to staff to ensure prompt and courteous service to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.
  • Monitor daily operations to ensure adherence to documented administrative and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Provide coaching and counseling to staff based on performance management principles.
  • Identify ongoing continuing education needs of employees.
  • Keep staff informed of processes, policies, and other changes through continuous communication.
  • Gather statistics, complete reports, and perform other scheduled or requested duties.
  • Communicate the status of daily operations and workflow problems to the Manager or Director in a timely manner.
  • Handle patient, family, or staff complaints, investigate complaints, and recommend appropriate resolutions.
  • Coordinate the resolution of problems with other departments.
  • Organize and execute daily tasks according to priority to achieve productivity, accountability, and efficiency.
  • Maintain functional knowledge of operational areas and step into staffing as needed.
  • Ensure patient satisfaction and report issues to the Manager or Director.
  • Assist with the annual budget process.
  • Select, hire, manage, and continuously evaluate employees.

  • Two years of experience in a healthcare management or supervisory position.
