Requirements
  • 2 years of directly applicable experience operating machines in a lab or manufacturing environment
  • Professional working experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, or research and development environment
  • Good mechanical aptitude (basic machine operations, monitoring, debugging)
  • Good computer skills to enter data and record information
  • Demonstrated experience following established safety rules and regulations
  • Committed to quality, safety and communication
  • Understanding of production procedures
  • Aptitude to follow process instructions
  • Willing to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain a safe and clean work space

Responsibilities
  • Follow procedures to operate 3D Printers in our lab with attention to detail
  • Monitor additive material levels and replace materials when needed
  • Remove completed metal parts from machine after 3D printing completed
  • Preventive maintenance of supportive tools
  • Perform basic part finishing with grinding and band saw equipment
  • Follow procedures to perform basic metrology on the parts after printing
  • Initiate and participate in process improvement activities as approved and directed by supervisor
  • Participate in team and other assigned meetings
  • Other duties as needed or required

  • Experience as a machinist is desired
