  • High school diploma or GED - College Degree in business, operations, or a relevant field is highly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Proficient in MS Office Suite a must
  • Competency in performing multiple functional tasks; Capable of lifting up to 55 pounds
  • Have knowledge of all job procedures, also of all mailroom and copy equipment
  • Advanced MS Office Suite skills; Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Legal authorization to work for any employer in the US
  • 3-5 years experience managing 10 employees or more
  • 5-7 years experience in a mail and copy department or similar operation
  • Self-starter mentality
Responsibilities
  • Directs and oversees mailroom activities including the sorting and delivery of incoming mail, as well as the preparation and sending of outgoing mail
  • Ensures the coordinated delivery of Copy Center services by effectively supervising all phases of the operation including scheduling all work into the copy center, controlling the workload, and maintaining a synchronized production schedule with Printing Services
  • Responsible for a budget covering all business support operations
  • Develops new procedures to improve the operation of the sites and to lower operating costs
  • Report on key operational performance standards and determine whether Business Services is performing at or near optimum level
  • Manages department vendor relationships and contracts
  • Manages, trains and coaches employees and develops a work environment that promotes high motivation and customer satisfaction
  • Maintains efficient workflow by holding direct reports accountable for quality and efficiency of their work
  • Ensures that location is properly staffed by matching employee skills and equipment with production demands
