In this role, you will...
As the Proposal Manager for Transcarent, you will have responsibility for developing and managing a sales proposal process, including developing processes and workflows, and creating and maintaining a proposal library to support enterprise, provider, and mid-market proposal responses to large organizations and consultant groups.
The Proposal Manager reports directly to Transcarent’s Chief Commercial Officer and works closely with the marketing, product, clinical, and strategy and innovation teams to execute content and proposal strategies; this role also coordinates with other departments including client success, implementation, legal and finance to develop appropriate tools, resources, processes, and content to improve the team’s response time and finalist and win rates to close more of the right deals, faster.

- Refine existing proposal process, organize content, develop and manage workflows to incrementally improve RFI/P proposal success rates
- Successfully manage the proposal process and resources for incoming RFI/Ps, including collaborating with various stakeholders to get responses completed well and on time
- Project manage the sales proposal/RFI/RFP process, including submitting intent to bid, gathering data and sign-off from major stakeholders; assembling the final product for submission; crafting follow-up responses and editing on-site sales presentations
- Refine/customize responses for RFI/Ps and sales proposals in response to unique client needs and in alignment with company solutions, branding and messaging
- Manage development and utilization of proposal library; maintain library, manage content review/update process
- Create and leverage proposal and other content templates to support commercial team requests and move deals forward.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to customize/refine content and create new responses as appropriate
- Maintain a proposal response calendar/spreadsheet; track and measure proposal responses, finalist and win rates
- Once processes, library and systems are in place support the development and writing of content for new products and services specifically for sales proposals/RFIs/RFPs
- Edit, rewrite, and proofread proposals, exhibits and other sales content
- Develop, organize and manage the sales resource library
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 7+ years progressive experience in managing, developing and executing sales proposal projects for sales/sales support.
- Minimum 7+ years progressive experience developing, writing and editing sales and marketing content for technical products and services.
- Software or health care industry (digital health/care delivery/large employer/consultant-led RFP) experience preferred.
- Ability to interview technical and clinical experts to capture key information; to understand, use and explain (including via the written word) complex product information and processes.
- Thorough understanding of all aspects of the sales process & business-to-business marketing.
- Excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Prefer knowledge of Salesforce.com, Loopio or similar RFP software solution.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines, deliverables and changing priorities; ability to multi-task and work under tight schedules.
- Experience developing, writing and editing prospective/active client facing presentations, proposals and materials.
- Excellent writing, editing and analytical skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, management and organizational skills.
- Effective time management and ability to work well under pressure in a deadline-driven, selling and publishing environment with shifting priorities.

Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal equity.
Salary is just one component of Transcarent’s total package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock options.

Location
You must be authorized to work in the United States. Depending on the position we may have a preference to a specific location, but are generally open to remote work anywhere in the US.
