Lucidworks Launches Model Context Protocol to Reduce AI Agent Integration Timelines by Up to 10x

Lucidworks launches Model Context Protocol to reduce AI agent integration timelines by up to 10x. by GlobeNewswire Apr 08, 2026 6:08 pm New MCP capabilities enable organizations to seamlessly connect AI assistants to enterprise knowledge in minutes, saving as much as $150,000 per integration SAN FRANCISCO, April 08, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - Lucidworks, a leader in AI-powered search and discovery, today announced the launch of its Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, designed to help enterprises seamlessly and securely connect AI agents to crucial enterprise data-with little custom integration required. Early results indicate that enterprises can reduce AI integration timelines by up to 10x, save more than $150,000 per integration, and accelerate the rollout of AI-powered applications. "Under extreme pressure, enterprises often struggle to move quickly with AI, but the real challenge is not with the models; it's with the data feeding into models," explained Meychele Reis, Sr. Product Manager at Lucidworks. "Lucidworks' MCP Server provides a single, trusted connection between AI assistants and enterprise knowledge. Now organizations can deploy AI agents that are accurate, secure, and ready for real business use." MCP is a widely adopted standard for connecting widely used AI applications, such as Claude, to companies' proprietary data sources, enabling organizations to securely deploy their own AI agents to serve customer needs. Lucidworks MCP enables e-commerce companies to launch AI assistants that work with the latest product information, including part numbers, compatibility information, contract pricing, technical documents, and more. As a result, customers enjoy a better shopping experience with detailed, accurate answers to their search queries. Removing the Biggest Barrier to Enterprise AI As AI assistants such as Claude become the new interface for work, most organizations rely on custom integrations to connect them to internal systems, a process that is often complex, time-consuming, and difficult to scale. They also introduce risk, as inconsistencies can lead to incomplete, outdated, or unauthorized information being surfaced to employees or customers. Lucidworks MCP server addresses these concerns by eliminating complexity. Companies can now work with a single, standardized integration point that builds a secure connection between AI assistants and enterprise knowledge. With Lucidworks MCP, organizations can: * Connect AI assistants to enterprise data in minutes rather than months * Ensure responses are grounded in relevant, authorized information * Reduce engineering effort and ongoing maintenance * Enable consistent AI experiences across teams and applications Enabling AI That Works in the Real World Lucidworks MCP Server is designed to help enterprises move beyond AI experimentation and into production use cases that deliver measurable outcomes. By connecting AI assistants to the Lucidworks Platform, MCP ensures that every query is processed through existing relevance models, query pipelines, and security controls. This allows organizations to leverage their current search investments while improving the performance of AI-driven experiences. Lucidworks MCP key features include: * Proprietary retrieval quality powered by machine learning ranking, hybrid search, and intelligent content processing * Enterprise security controls, including document-level permissions, role-based access, and field-level security * Self-hosted deployment options for data sovereignty and compliance requirements * API-first architecture to support custom AI applications and integrations Accelerating Time-to-Value Lucidworks MCP helps organizations reduce the time and cost associated with AI integration while improving outcomes. By eliminating the need for custom integrations, teams can shift their focus from infrastructure to innovation, building AI agents that improve productivity, enhance customer experiences, and unlock the full value of enterprise data. About Lucidworks Lucidworks is a leader in AI-powered search and discovery solutions for the world's largest enterprises. By combining advanced machine learning, hybrid search, and generative AI, Lucidworks helps organizations deliver smarter digital experiences and unlock the full value of their data.

Lucidworks launches AI data enrichment tool, boosting retailer revenue by $25M

Lucidworks has launched Data Enrichment, a new feature using multimodal generative AI to automatically improve product data for e-commerce search. The system analyses product images and text to generate categories, keywords, synonyms and descriptions, addressing the issue that up to 30% of searches fail due to incomplete product data. Unlike traditional text-only approaches, Lucidworks employs multimodal AI models that understand both visual and semantic context. The offline process works at scale without requiring manual tagging or replatforming. Early results show significant impact, with one global retailer experiencing a 3x increase in searchable data and an 8.66% lift in conversion rate, translating to over $25 million in annualised revenue. Lucidworks Launches Dynamic Index for Instant, Accurate Commerce Data at Scale

Lucidworks launches Dynamic Index for instant, accurate commerce data at scale. A breakthrough for B2B commerce teams managing complex catalogs, contract pricing, and store-level inventory at scale. SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 10, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - Lucidworks, the leader in AI-powered search and discovery, today announced Dynamic Index(TM), a next-generation capability within the Lucidworks Search Platform that delivers instant, personalized pricing, inventory, and entitlement data without reindexing or slowing performance. Built for B2B ecommerce, industrial distributors, big-box retailers, and multi-brand enterprises, Dynamic Index addresses the single biggest pain commerce teams face: keeping catalog data accurate, fast, and aligned from search to PDP to checkout. Most search systems break down under the complexity of modern catalogs, forcing teams to index every permutation of price, contract, or location, thereby inflating infrastructure costs and slowing index updates. "Merchandisers and digital leaders can't afford reindexing delays anymore," said Meychele Reis, product manager for search at Lucidworks. "Dynamic Index keeps the core index performant and attaches the correct price or inventory to each shopper at query time. One update is reflected everywhere instantly." A Modern Fix for a Modern Commerce Problem * Different pricing per user account or contract * Store-, region-, or warehouse-specific inventory * Entitlements that vary by user, segment, or role * Fast accuracy with zero tolerance for mismatches Legacy systems attempt to store all this directly in the index, resulting in index bloat, slow updates, stale values, and costly replicas. Dynamic Index takes a different approach by injecting dynamic attributes at query time, ensuring accuracy without touching the index. Dynamic Index delivers measurable impact immediately: * Instant updates: pricing & inventory refresh in minutes, not hours * Fewer infrastructure costs: up to 70% smaller index footprint and 30-50% infra savings * Higher conversion: accurate results reduce abandonment and build trust * High consistency from search | PDP | cart A global B2B manufacturer with 250,000 SKUs and 700 customer contracts traditionally required 700 index updates for a single price change. With Dynamic Index, they update one file, and the correct price appears instantly for every contract-no reindexing, no delays. "Dynamic Index finally solves the problem every merchandiser and ecommerce leader has been frustrated by for years," said Keri Rich, VP of Product at Lucidworks. "Prices change, inventory moves, contracts update-but the index shouldn't have to rebuild every time. With Dynamic Index, a single update appears everywhere instantly. It's highly accurate, and it brings search architecture in line with the nuanced needs of modern commerce." | Capability | Lucidworks Dynamic Index | Other Vendors | | Query-time dynamic pricing/inventory | Yes | No, requires pre-indexing every permutation | | Avoids index bloat | Yes | No, index expands as data complexity grows | | Supports millions of dynamic permutations | Yes | Limited, performance drops as variations increase | | Reindexing is required for updates | No | Yes, updates trigger full or partial reindexing | | Works with contract pricing, entitlements, and store availability | Yes | Partial or unavailable, depending on the platform | Dynamic Index is Built on the World's Most Advanced Search Stack Dynamic Index runs on the Lucidworks search engine, which is used by 5 of the 10 largest U.S. retailers, built on Neural Hybrid Search, and optimized for high-scale, high-complexity commerce environments.
