Requirements
  • Minimum of five years of experience in business damage insurance
  • Holder of a business damage insurance license issued by the Autorité des marchés financiers
  • University or college degree or equivalent work experience
  • Bilingual (French and English)
  • Business development skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook
  • PAA, FPAA, or CRM diploma (an asset)
  • Proficiency in TAM software (an asset)
Responsibilities
  • Achieve sales objectives through frequent presentations, calls, and sales meetings with prospects
  • Create sales proposals, presentations, and responses to tenders that creatively and effectively meet the needs of prospects
  • Meet with clients, draft comparison documents for client presentation including insurance statements, specifics of each policy, and list of inactive insurances
  • Involve account managers in their files from the beginning, maintain communication with them to ensure customer service satisfaction and meet commitments and general expectations
  • Keep client records updated in collaboration with the account manager
  • Follow up on insurer requests to clients
  • Manage research efforts and analyses on relevant markets and sectors to identify potential relationship needs, target new accounts, and ultimately target areas for expansion for existing accounts or the book of business in general
  • Maintain good relationships with clients to introduce and sell new products and facilitate deeper market penetration and representation. Encourage and explore cross-selling opportunities. In case of a change in portfolio manager, ensure the transition and introduction of the new representative to the client
  • Be a member of various professional and industrial or regional organizations and attend relevant conferences and events to expand and maintain a vast professional network, represent the company, and gain exposure and insight into various specialties
  • Perform other related tasks as requested by the manager or management team
