We’re looking for a Product Manager to join the Stories Product team. As PM of Stories Ranking, you will build and ship innovative products by working with cross-functional leaders in engineering, data science, product design, and business teams. You will be responsible for defining how we rank and personalize content, with the goal of making it easier for Snapchatters to find stories they enjoy and care about. This is an influential and strategic role within the Stories team due to the significant impact that ranking has on Snap’s engagement and monetization objectives.

What you’ll do:

• Lead the feature development and launch process for new and iterative improvements to content ranking and personalization

• Define goals and own the results for your product area

• Manage a long-term roadmap for your product area including internal tools, data and analytics

• Solicit ideas and feedback, gather requirements, write specs, create wireframes and workflows, and coordinate cross-functionally

• Drive strategic product decisions via evaluation of market trends and customer feedback and perform meticulous retrospective and prospective analysis of product performance

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of machine learning ranking workflows (e.g. model training, feature management, cold start etc.)

• Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance

• Ability to collaborate and build trust with engineers, designers, data science and other cross-functional teammates

• Excellent analytical skills, a high attention to detail, and experience with AB testing

Minimum Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or related field

• 5+ years of product management or product marketing experience at a consumer or enterprise technology company

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background building and applying ML technologies to large scale problems

• Experience with product design, software development, or interaction design

• Familiarity with SQL, Python, R, Minitab, or SPSS
