The job:

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Data Platforms to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data platforms and applications that support our clients’ business needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer requirements, develop solutions, and ensure that all deliverables meet the highest quality standards.

This position is based in Nashville, TN. Must be within a commutable distance of the office. We offer paid relocation!

Essential Job Functions:

• Lead the design and development of data platforms and applications, leveraging a variety of technologies including but not limited to: big data, cloud computing, data warehousing, and NoSQL databases.

• Work with product managers, data scientists, and business analysts to understand customer requirements and develop data platform solutions that meet their needs.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation and ensure that all deliverables are well-documented and meet the highest quality standards.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the data platform is well-integrated with other systems and processes.

• Mentor junior software engineers and provide technical leadership to the team.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest data platform technologies and best practices and continuously improve your skills.

Minimum qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on data platforms.

• Strong hands-on experience with a variety of data platform technologies, including but not limited to big data, cloud computing, data warehousing, and NoSQL databases.

• Excellent knowledge of data modeling, data architecture, and data management.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop innovative solutions to complex technical problems.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Experience leading technical teams and mentoring junior software engineers.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
