Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Geology or a related scientific discipline is required for the Senior Project Manager role.
  • A bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or a related scientific field is required for the Environmental Scientist role.
  • At least 10 years of environmental consulting experience with increasing project management responsibilities is required.
  • Demonstrated success managing environmental consulting projects from proposal through completion is required.
  • Strong technical writing and report review experience is required.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client expectations is required.
  • The candidate must be able to manage multiple projects while balancing competing priorities.
  • Experience mentoring and developing technical staff is required.
  • Business development experience, including proposal preparation and client relationship management, is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 is required.
  • Experience in environmental field sampling, inspections, or data collection is required, although entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply for the Environmental Scientist role.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to collect accurate field data are required.
  • The candidate must be able to write technical reports and communicate findings clearly.
  • A valid driver's license, good driving history, and reliable transportation are required.
Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple environmental consulting projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and build trusted client relationships.
  • Develop project scopes, work plans, schedules, budgets, and proposals, and monitor project performance from kickoff through completion.
  • Manage project financial performance, including budgets, change orders, invoicing, and project profitability.
  • Coordinate project staffing, subcontractors, and internal resources for multiple concurrent projects.
  • Review technical reports, work products, and client deliverables for quality, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance to project managers, scientists, geologists, and field staff.
  • Attend client meetings, project discussions, and site visits to support project planning, quality assurance, and project execution.
  • Collaborate with technical experts and project managers across the national network to deliver solutions for clients.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships, prepare proposals, deliver presentations, and support business development efforts.
  • Foster safety, quality, and continuous improvement on every project.
  • Conduct hazardous materials building surveys, including asbestos-related inspections and assessments.
  • Perform water damage assessments, mold inspections, and mold sampling.
  • Support asbestos abatement projects through monitoring and field observations.
  • Collect environmental samples, including drinking water, radon, air, soil, and building material samples.
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret field data to support project conclusions.
  • Prepare technical reports and input data into project templates.
  • Follow project scopes, safety procedures, and technical guidance from project managers and senior staff.
  • Support environmental projects through hands-on field work and project activities.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree is preferred for the Senior Project Manager role.
  • A Professional Geologist license or the ability to obtain licensure is preferred.
  • Experience with CRM platforms and Deltek Vision is a plus.
  • Knowledge of industrial hygiene, hazardous materials, or environmental sampling is a plus.
  • Certifications such as Asbestos Inspector, HAZWOPER, or NIOSH 582 are highly desirable.
