The job:
We are looking for an experienced Staff level Software Engineer to join our experienced team of Cybersecurity Engineers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure software systems and applications to protect our customers from cyber threats. You will be responsible for overseeing the technical direction of the product and the team, with a big focus on optimizing and scaling our API and database. Ongoing you will be new complex features from ideation to production, and continuously maintain them based on SDLC best practices. Our tech stack: React, NodeJS, Postgres.

This position is based in Nashville, TN. Must be within a commutable distance of the office. We offer paid relocation!
Essential Job Functions:
Design, develop, and maintain secure software systems and applications
Conduct code reviews and security audits to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security best practices are implemented across the organization
Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends and best practices
Participate in incident response activities and contribute to the development of security incident response plans
Mentor junior engineers and participate in knowledge-sharing activities to promote a culture of continuous learning
About You:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred
6+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on cybersecurity
Works best on small high-impact teams
Strong understanding of secure coding practices and experience with secure coding frameworks and tools
Has strong communication skills and a natural inclination to collaborate
Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
Proficiency in various programming languages
Expertise in writing well-structured, testable code
Docker, SQL, NodeJS
Experience with cloud security, DevSecOps, and container security
Experience with relational databases
Experience with Unix/Linux environments
