Requirements
  • Master's degree in Engineering or related field. Ph.D. degree preferred
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in a reliability engineering role, with a focus on hands-on problem-solving and continuous improvement
  • Strong understanding of the physics behind material properties (thermal, mechanical, electrical, and optical)
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience with statistical analysis, root cause analysis, and failure analysis techniques
  • Knowledge of EE/FA tools and methods such as EE debugging, SI debugging, OM inspection, SEM, X-ray, etc
  • Knowledge of reliability tools and methods, such as reliability prediction, FMEA, fault tree analysis, and reliability testing
  • Experience in designing and implementing reliability improvement initiatives, including developing and tracking metrics and driving corrective actions
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leaders
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once, and ability to complete tests and resolve problems in an unattended manner
  • Dynamic and “can do” attitude engineer with the desire to work with a great team and product
Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical problem-solving and issue triage efforts for reliability issues across silicon chips, printed circuit boards, and full module assemblies, including analyzing data, identifying root causes, and developing corrective actions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet our AV component requirements for reliability and availability
  • Develop and maintain reliability metrics to track product and system performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability
  • Perform reliability assessments, including reliability prediction, FMEA, and fault tree analysis, to identify potential failure modes and recommend design changes
  • Participate in design reviews to provide input on reliability requirements, failure modes, and mitigation strategies
  • Develop and maintain reliability test plans and procedures, and lead the execution of reliability tests to validate product and system performance
  • Mentor and coach junior reliability engineers, and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams on reliability and failure analysis topics
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in automotive ECUs, sensors, or calibration is a plus
